tDCS for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)

Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) provides significant relief for complex regional pain syndrome by non-invasively modulating the areas of the brain involved in pain processing and pain inhibition. With each tDCS treatment, pain and sensitivity are progressively reduced as the pathological functioning of the brain is normalized. Relief persists for months following completion of the tDCS protocol. In addition, tDCS improves sleep, mood, activity and overall quality of life. There are no significant side effects associated with tDCS. The Home-Use Program, available only through the Brain Stimulation Clinic, increases convenience, reduces painful travel and provides the most affordable tDCS treatment option.

tDCS is compatible with pharmacological and physical therapies used to treat CRPS.
